We are proud to have constantly exceeded the industry average recovery rates as measured by VESA (Vehicle Security Association of South Africa). The Orchid Alarm Response Centre can locate a vehicle to within metres and in the event of an emergency, we will immediately despatch an armed response unit to secure and protect your assets and employees.
Panic button – A fixed or remote panic button can be covertly installed in each of your vehicles. When pushed, an alert will be sent to Orchid and to you. In the event of an emergency, an armed response and recovery unit will be dispatched immediately and come to the driver’s aid.
In-Cab communication – This enables you to listen to what is going on in your vehicles anytime, without the cost of a two-way call. We also offer a hands-free communication device so you can talk to your driver without him having to remove his hands from the steering wheel. The driver can also request a call from selected contacts by activating a call back button located in the cab. This also eliminates the risk of phone abuse and unnecessary costs. Read more »
Tamper switch – Should the TCU installed in your vehicle be tampered with in any way, an alarm will be sent to the Orchid Alarm Response Centre and to you.
Impact sensor – This detects vehicle collisions and sends an alarm to the Orchid Alarm Response Centre. The TCU will immediately save vehicle driving information immediately preceding the accident in a “black box” recorder.
Immobilisation – In the event of a hijacking or theft, the vehicle can be immobilised remotely in a safe and controlled manner.
In-Cab driver behaviour warning – Driving alerts such as speeding and over-revving can be notified to the driver via an in-cab buzzer, ensuring that the driver is always aware that he has deviated from agreed driving performance measures.
